Degrees of separation: Sleeping Murder

Seriously, does every big name British actor need to star in the new Miss Marple series?

Just watched “Sleeping Murder” tonight, and it was filled with actors who have played with each other on other shows that I have seen.

Above, we have Sophia Myles who was Reinette on DW, and in Underworld and Moonlight.

And seriously, Paul McGann, our eighth Doctor? Wearing an eye-patch?

And then we have Anna-Louise Plowman who also has a guest part on DW in season 1’s “Dalek”. (spoiler: I KNEW she was also the mother!)

And hello there Sarah Parish, aka the Empress of the Racnoss, also in DW, who wears glasses and sings (like she does in Blackpool). (And apparently Parish and McGann have also played together in another show.)

There’s Phil Davis, who was on both Sherlock and Ashes to Ashes.

Una Stubbs, on Sherlock, playing yet another maid.

Funnily enough, I right away recognized Dawn French who played the Fat Lady in HP3. Then I looked her up and found out she was also the Vicar of Dibley.

3 of the actors have also played in Heartbeat, though I wouldn’t have recognized them because I haven’t seen that show for awhile and they played guest parts.

And I looked up Geraldine Chaplin on a whim, and she’s Charlie Chaplin’s daughter!

So, in one episode of Marple I have managed to connect three major fandoms together through these actors. Seriously, can there be any more connections in this world?
